Lessons take place either the students home, at OPERA America's National Opera Center, located at 330 7th Ave 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001, or my apartment in Newport, Jersey City.
Payment is due at the beginning of each semester for in full payments, on the 1st of the month for monthly payments, and 72 hours before the lesson for single lesson payments.
In-home lesson travel fee for a commute time of less than 30 minutes is $5 per lesson for 60 minute lessons, $6 per lesson for 45 minute lessons, and $7 per lesson for 30 minute lessons. For commute times of 30-45 minutes, add $3 to these prices. For greater than 45 minute commutes, add $6.
Yes, you do. If you do not have a keyboard, I would be happy to help you find the right piano for you.
I offer in-home lessons to anyone in Manhattan or Jersey City.
I expect my students to practice for at least the length of their lesson time, 6 days a week. So, if you are taking 30 minute lessons, I expect you to practice 30 minutes a day, 6 days a week.
I accept all major credit cards, debit cards, Venmo, Zelle, ACH bank transfers and Cash. Invoices and bills for lessons are sent through Square.
I do not provide makeup lessons for student cancellations for any reason. While this policy may seem harsh, please understand that tuition is not just payment for time spent together in lessons, it's payment for an exclusive weekly time in my schedule for you or your child. Unlike a doctor or a hairdresser, I cannot resell that time nor can I create extra teaching time in which to give lessons. Tuition is also for the time spent outside of the lessons such as business administration, lesson planning, repertoire planning, my continued pedagogical education, recitals and so on.
If I have to cancel a lesson, I will provide a refund or a lesson credit.
